What does made-to-order mean?
"Made-to-order" means that we do not have stock; our products are created specifically for you. When you place an order, our artisans start printing, cutting, and sewing your products.
This is why there is a bit of a wait to receive your products. But, we think the wait is worth it!
Do you offer custom designs or print custom art sizes?
Where are your products made?
Most of our products are hand-made by artisans in the UK, but a few of our products are made in the US and China.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship internationally and shipping costs are covered by Belamar. However, the customer is responsible for any duties, import fees, etc.
If shipping prices are raised, we will contact the customer to let them know and they can decide whether to pay the additional amount or cancel the order.
How fast are production and shipping times?
Our products are made-to-order (not produced until we receive your order) and generally take 2-4 days to produce.
Shipping typically takes between 3 and 14 days, though delays have been common due to the pandemic.
We are not responsible for delays or delivery issues, and any problems should be addressed to the shipping company (DHL, USPS, Canada Post, etc.).
Why are the colors a little different on my products?
Colors can vary from screen to screen, and can look different on different fabrics and materials.
What is your return policy?
All our products are made-to-order, and because of this we don't accept returns or offer refunds; please read item descriptions carefully and contact us with any questions before purchasing.
However, mistakes may occasionally happen during production (human error!); if something is wrong with the item (stiching or sizing, for example), please send detailed photos (and measurements if applicable) and we will address the issue.
The postal service / shipping company that delivers your package(s) is responsible for any damage during shipping.
What kind of social good do you do?
5% of each purchase will be donated to Plan International / Because I Am a Girl to support girls and young women around the world.
Are your products eco-friendly?
Many of our products are made using eco-friendly or recycled materials. For example:
The frames for our framed art prints are are made from wood certified by the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council).
The trim on our yoga mats is made from natural plant fibers (hessian).
Eco-inks are used on our leathergoods.
We also encourage our customers to recycle or repurpose our products and packaging whenever they can, for example, the candle jars, or boxes that products come in.
Is Belamar BIWOC-owned?
Belamar is proudly Black woman-owned. It is a branch of Castlefield, a design and branding studio.
The Belamar team conists of owner and graphic designer Sophie Taylor and illustrator Rocío Batanero.
